On the 64th edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano, the FurnSERVICE consortium took part in one of the most important international showcases for the wood‑furniture sector, confirming the event as a key platform for innovation, quality and new business models.

During the fair, the AMBIT delegations, hosted by FederlegnoArredo (FLA), visited leading Italian and international design companies, gaining first-hand insight into how servitization is increasingly shaping the future of the furniture industry.

A notable case is LAGO, which is adopting servitization by expanding from furniture manufacturing to design-driven and sustainable services. Through LAGO Project & Contract Services, the company delivers comprehensive design solutions for hotels, residential buildings and workspaces, focusing on designed-for-living environments rather than simple product supply. This approach supports a circular business model, where value is generated through interior design consultancy, customization and long-term customer relationships.

Arper represents another concrete example, with initiatives aimed at extending product use and reducing waste. The company has launched an official resale channel enabling certified second-life solutions for high-quality furniture. In parallel, Arper is developing refurbishment, rental and take-back services, particularly in Northern European markets, making these offerings scalable for contract clients.

The visits to Caimi Brevetti and Flou further highlighted how innovation, design culture and service-oriented strategies are becoming key elements for differentiation and resilience in the sector.

The experiences shared at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026 clearly show how servitization is emerging as a strategic lever for competitiveness, sustainability and long-term value creation.
